Multimedia > Downloads > Psychonauts Explorer v1.2.

Utility created and developed by bgbennyboy.
See http://quick.mixnmojo.com/.
Designed to be an "all in one" tool for Psychonauts, this utility allows you to open and view a huge range of content from the game. Encompassing the functions previously featured in Benny's previous two tools, the package dumper and audio ripper, this tool both builds upon and expands what you can do, whilst also integrating additional support for other files. Click the more details link below to see a few of this download's key features.

As mentioned previously, this utility is specifically designed to be an "all-in-one" tool, which means that you shouldn't need any additional software to view and edit the game's data. You are able to view most of the game's data through the program itself, with the option of exporting the data out to different formats should you wish to play with them further. No longer are expensive programs such as Photoshop a necessity to simply view the game's artwork.
All of the game's data is generally found in two places. The first, which is where most of the artwork is contained, can be found at the following location:
C:\Program Files\Double Fine Productions\Psychonauts\psychonautsdata2.pkg
The second area is a directory, which contains the game's audio. Many files are used here, with each level having its own set of files. For example, bbmusic.isb contains the music files for the level "Basic Braining", whilst bbvoice.isb contains the speech files for the same level. You can find these audio files at the following location:
C:\Program Files\Double Fine Productions\Psychonauts\WorkResource\Sounds\
