Tip: For the most informed and interesting Psychonauts discussion around, our forums are the place to be. Be sure to check them out by clicking here.
What is to be a glorious summer of Psychonauts content updates begins with the addition of the w.i.p. enemies section, detailing the game's many foes.
Ryan pulls the venerable Tim Schafer away from the excitement of Psychonauts' impending release for a few seconds, and asks him three brief (read: long) questions about the game and himself.
New official site and more.
Just as if a whole new Psychonauts site opening wasn't enough to overwhelm your Psychonauts-craving impulses, Majesco have given the official website a makeover. Including more sections, a host of wallpapers, and some other random stuff that you probably want to look at, it's definitely something to check out. They've even got a Psychonauts comic page, which is updated on a regular basis. Updates on Psychonauts.com will of course be on the snooper, so keep an eye on it.

In addition to that lot, Majesco have finally started sending out Psychonauts newsletters. It will be automatically emailed to all of those who have already signed up on the official Psychonauts site. If you haven't, do not worry! Our mothersite, Mojo, have archived it for convenient reading here. It doesn't contain a great deal of new information (especially if you read our forums!), but it's obviously worth reading. New ones are sure to have unique stuff to read, so be sure to sign up.

Extended introduction movie.
If you've had a look through the videos section yet, then you've probably noticed the partial introduction movie, a three minute piece of footage taken from the game's intro. It shows Raz's entry into Whispering Rock Psychic Summer Camp, as well as Coach Oleander's speech to the cadets. All-in-all, it is pretty damn cool.

An extended version of the same introduction movie has just been added, with a whole two minutes added onto the end. It really doesn't spoil anything at all, especially if you've seen the trailer, but instead allows you to see the basic characters' development a little better. It's definitely worth seeing, if not just for the simply excellent music. Be sure to check it out.

In other news, you may have noticed a new addition to the sidebar. The feature snooper is essentially a dumping ground of any Psychonauts related update posted on other websites, so that getting your fix of Psychonauts news, screenshots, articles and interviews is as quick and easy as possible. Simply click the title of an article that looks interesting, and you'll be taken straight there.

Minor changes galore.
A further two videos have been added to the videos / trailers section, bringing us up to a shocking total of five. More videos will of course be added over the next few days as they are uploaded to the server. Until then, why not discuss the current Psychonauts happenings on our forum? There are plenty of fans roaming them who are desperate to talk about anything at all concerning the game.

Oh, and you've probably noticed that there's been a few additions to the sidebar and such. Not that I'm trying to sell you the idea that our forums really are a good place to be or anything, and that you should go there right now and post until your fingers turn into stumps. Honestly.

Psychonauts Spotted.
As the venerable Mojo have helpfully pointed out, Psychonauts is due to receive a demonstration in this week's "On The Spot" show by GameSpot. The show in question is a weekly live event, which essentially involves showing off future titles.

It's on tonight at 7pm EST, which equates to midnight for those of you living in the UK. You can watch the event from the official page here at the appropriate time (which is somewhere around the region of never, should you be a LucasArts employee), although I'll be making sure to get a recording of it locally for permanent viewing.

So, make sure to catch the show. They claim to have a demo of the game, so there should be plenty of Psychonauts footage shown with any luck. They'll also be premiering a trailer for the upcoming Lego Star Wars, which I'm sure that you're all anticipating greatly.

Edit:- The show aired, and it was definitely worth it. Whilst there wasn't a huge amount in the way of new footage, we did get to see the campground and the first level in a little more depth, as well as a little verbal insight into the game from Tim Schafer, which is always appreciated.

Not only that, but Tim unexpectedly mentioned razputin.net during the show, which was just awesome. Here's a big thank-you for that.

S-S-S-S-S-S-Smell the ashes..
Welcome! As I'm sure that you've gathered by now, this is a Psychonauts website. Very much along the same lines as my other website, the Grim Fandango Network, the general idea is to supply you with as much news and information regarding the upcoming release as possible.

The site is of course nowhere near as content-packed as it will become over the coming months, particularly once more and more Psychonauts information is released, and ultimately the game itself. Until then though, news and articles will regularly be written to keep you all informed and amused. There is one article up already, but rest assured, future writings will involve more exciting subjects than "What is Psychonauts?".

More sections will be added gradually, and the existing ones will be fleshed out. A fan artwork gallery is one of the first things that come to mind, so if anybody has a fancy for that type of thing then be sure to submit some via the contact page! You can also use the aforementioned contact page to correct or add to any existing content on the site, which you are helpfully reminded of at the bottom of every page. What good is a community site that doesn't constantly encourage community participation?

So, that's all for now. Have fun with the site, and hopefully it will grow into a definitive Psychonauts resource as time goes on. If you'd like to chat with fellow Psychonauts fans, there's always dozens of fans (read: me) in our IRC channel, and there's a work-in-progress forum here.
