Tip: Be sure to keep an eye on the feature tracker. It is frequently updated with minor Psychonauts coverage, even when the main news isn't.
What is to be a glorious summer of Psychonauts content updates begins with the addition of the w.i.p. enemies section, detailing the game's many foes.
Ryan pulls the venerable Tim Schafer away from the excitement of Psychonauts' impending release for a few seconds, and asks him three brief (read: long) questions about the game and himself.

One more chance to vote for Psychonauts
In what will probably be the last, GameSpot has put up its "Reader Awards", which gives fans the chance to vote for the games that they feel are the best of the year. What this basically boils down to is you having the chance to yet again pledge your love by Psychonauts and vote for it in any category which you think it is deserving of, which is probably all of them.

So, if you're interested and don't mind quickly grabbing a GameSpot account which takes a minute or so, you can vote for the goggle-wearing boy in Best Platformer, Best PC Game, Best Xbox Game, Best PS2 Game and Game of the Year.

Patch version 1.04 hits the fan
Somehow I managed to totally miss the release of patch version 1.04 a couple of months ago -- fortunately it doesn't do anything major, other than resolve a few bugs. It's still probably worth getting if you're having any issues, so head over to the downloads section to sort yourself out.

Psychonauts is Eurogame of the year
Standing its ground as an amazing title despite its sales, Psychonauts has picked up yet another award -- and not just any award. It's won Eurogamer's top game of 2005 award! Being one of the largest European gaming websites around, this is a good thing.

Hopefully it'll encourage those who have not yet sampled the juicy delights of Psychonauts to run out and buy a copy immediately.

"Vote for Psychonauts!" #2864.
Once again, a chance to help Psychonauts be recognised as the high-quality title that it is has floated by. Unless you like one of the other games better -- for which you'd have to be certifiably crazy -- head right over to the Shacknews Game of the Year voting page and slap that Psychonauts checkbox! Tim Schafer will kiss and hug you for it.

Schafer talks about innovation and publishers.
A slightly depressing article which is basically full of the backstory to Psychonauts' relatively poor sales has appeared over on GameSpot, packed with Tim Schafer's comments on the matter and what he's learnt from developing said title. Since he hasn't really spoken about it to any great length prior to now, it's certainly interesting to hear his take on how things have turned out; that is, a harsh sales-to-quality ratio. Head over there right now and settle down for a read.

Another award for Goggalor's Quest.
Continuing the 2005 award madness is Psychonauts' picking-up of the "Special Achievement in Art Direction" over on GameSpy, the full write-up of which is available here. Doesn't it make you feel all warm inside?

Update: IGN have also put up their awards, with Psychonauts listed as the runner-up for best action game and best artistic design.
